Title IX makes it illegal to discriminate based on sex. This includes discrimination on the basis of pregnancy or related conditions, including but not limited to, miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, postpartum recovery, postpartum conditions, and more. Title IX extends protections to graduate students and postdocs experiencing any of the above.
